Traveller Agreement

This agreement sets out the responsibilities, limits, and obligations that apply when you carry parcels through ShareMyBag.

Effective Date: 24-04-2026

This Traveller Agreement ("Agreement") governs your participation as a Traveller on the ShareMyBag platform ("Platform"), operated by ShareMyBag ("we," "us," or "our"). By registering as a Traveller, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Role of Traveller

As a Traveller, you agree that:

  • You are an independent contractor, not an employee or agent of ShareMyBag
  • You provide transportation services directly to Senders
  • ShareMyBag only acts as a technology platform facilitating connections

2. Eligibility

To act as a Traveller, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Possess valid identification and travel documents
  • Have a confirmed travel itinerary
  • Comply with all applicable laws, airline policies, and customs regulations

3. Acceptance of Parcels

You agree to:

  • Review all parcel details before acceptance
  • Only accept items you are comfortable carrying
  • Inspect parcels where necessary
  • Reject any suspicious or prohibited items

4. Prohibited Items

You must not carry:

  • Illegal goods
  • Dangerous or hazardous materials
  • Restricted or undeclared items

You are fully responsible for any consequences arising from carrying prohibited items.

5. Delivery Obligations

You agree to:

  • Transport parcels safely and securely
  • Deliver items to the agreed recipient or handover point
  • Communicate promptly with Senders and ShareMyBag
  • Follow agreed timelines where reasonably possible

6. Customs and Compliance

You are responsible for:

  • Declaring items where required
  • Paying any applicable duties or taxes, if agreed with the Sender
  • Complying with all border and aviation regulations

7. Payment Terms

7.1 Earnings

You will receive the Delivery Fee agreed per booking.

7.2 Payment Handling

  • ShareMyBag may collect payments on your behalf
  • Your earnings will be held temporarily and released after delivery confirmation
  • ShareMyBag may deduct applicable fees before payout

8. Tax Responsibility

  • You are responsible for your own taxes on earnings
  • ShareMyBag does not deduct personal income tax on your behalf

9. Liability

9.1 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Loss, damage, or delay of parcels in your possession
  • Compliance with all applicable laws

9.2 ShareMyBag Limitation

  • ShareMyBag is not liable for your actions or omissions
  • ShareMyBag does not insure items unless explicitly stated

10. Insurance (If Applicable)

  • Optional insurance may be offered through the platform
  • Coverage terms will be provided separately

11. Cancellations

  • You must not cancel accepted deliveries without valid reason
  • Repeated cancellations may result in suspension

12. Ratings and Reviews

  • Your performance may be rated by Senders
  • Poor ratings may affect your ability to receive future bookings

13. Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Breach of this Agreement
  • Fraud or misconduct
  • Safety or compliance concerns

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold ShareMyBag harmless from:

  • Any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your actions
  • Any breach of this Agreement

15. Modifications

We may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updates.

16. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
