The notice applies whether you are sending an item on any of our adverted routes or you are a traveller these routes. You will find information here about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Our website and services are for 18 years and over. We do not intend this site for children and we do not knowing collect data relating to children.

Take Payment, give refund and settle claims Necessary to take payments for our services or refund. Process is necessary for the performance of a contract.
Fraud Prevention and Detection To detect and prevent fraud against you or ShareMyBag. Processing is necessary for the purpose of ShareMyBag’s legitimate interest.
To collect and recover money owed to us To Lawfully Complete the Contract Between Us. Processing is necessary for the purpose of ShareMyBag’s legitimate interest.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not, and will not share you data with other users of the site whether travellers or customers. We do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third-party, including your name, address, email address or phone number.

However, we share your data with the following company when necessary as an essential part of being able to provide our services to you:

  • 1. Professional service providers like our IT personnel who help ensure the website functions optimally.
  • 2. Government bodies in Nigeria and UK that may require reporting in the events of illegal substance within parcels.
  • 3. Third party couriers like Royal mail or local dispatch riders. This information is limited to your name, address and telephone number for parcel drop off or collection.

We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purpose and in accordance with our instructions.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as is reasonably required for the purposes explained in this privacy policy. We also keep records – which may include personal information – to meet legal, regulatory, tax or accounting needs. We will also retain files if we believe there is a prospect of litigation.

We’ll hold on to your information for as long as you have your account, or as long as is needed to be able to provide the services to you or for as long as is necessary to provide support related reporting and trend analysis only.

If reasonably necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions, we may also keep hold of some of your information as required, even after you have closed your account or it is no longer needed to provide service to you.
